We’ve seen enough comic book movies that it seems we need to get meta…like Mel Brooks levels of meta. And here to do that is the man in red, the merc with the mouth, the not Green Lantern himself, Deadpool. But is his first solo film any good?

Paper Towns

Temple_Hill_Entertainment_-_Paper_Towns

Paper Towns was produced by Temple Hill Entertainment and TSG Entertainment. The film is distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Let’s face it, this blog doesn’t review Romantic comedies often…or at all. But when I saw that another of John Green’s novels was brought to the big screen, it had my attention. Sadly, it didn’t have Denis’ so it’s a solo review for Paper Towns.

D&D Watches – Chain Reaction

In the season finale of D&D Watches, the guys take on yet another Keanu Reeves film, Chain Reaction. What happens when you take the director and the script from the Fugitive, and change a few things here and there? It’s the Science Fugitive. Watch and listen as the guys mock the dumb plot and the lame action all while trying not to laugh too hard at Derek’s lack of a voice. Here’s an extra video where the guys make fun of the fact that this film is basically the Fugitive.

Chain Reaction is owned by 20th Century Fox.

D&D Watches: Point Break

Ending their first season the way it started, with a certain Lebanese-Canadian actor, the guys take in the Keanu Reeves Double Feature Two (Electric Boogaloo). This week they take in some waves with Point Break. Watch and listen as surfers, the worst types of criminals, terrorize the banks of LA. Reeves must go deep undercover as a dumb surfer dude to find get close to Patrick Swayze and his awesome goatee. Along the way Reeves will; lie about his parents being dead to sleep with a woman, order a lot of food, shoot things in the rain and of course say things in a total wow Keanu voice. Also watch as Gary Busey isn’t weird…so that’s a thing.

Point Break is owned by 20th Century Fox.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods was distributed by Toei Company and 20th Century Fox.

While it took a while, it’s time to take a look at the (at this point) newsiest Dragon Ball Z film. The franchise has somewhat of a checkered past with movies with most them being non canon filler featuring Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time…again or beating up a new strong person whose never brought up again until their eventual return.

But with this being an theatrically released film, the creators wanted to do something big and thus The Battle of the Gods was released. Let’s find out just how much they put into it.
