The Cohen Brothers seemingly try their best to pick odd topics to make films about. From murders in a small snowy town to the adventures of a stoner Humphrey Bogart wannabe the Cohen’s try to mix different ideas and settings together to craft an interesting story. This time, the brothers take on a kidnapping in classic Hollywood.

Royal Rumble HangOver

Royal Rumble is owned by World Wrestling Entertain, Inc.

Much like Christmas the WWE’s Royal Rumble event comes once a year and with it comes the joys of wishing and hoping for all the big matches to come over the next few months till WrestleMania. That being said, the last few Rumbles have been a bit of a let down (to say the least). But with this being the “biggest” WrestleMania ever, the WWE needed to hit this one out of the park and get more happy eyes on the product.

Did they do that? Yes and no. Let’s discuss… Continue reading

Room Review

room

Room is distubted by A24 (USA), Elevator Pictures (Canada) and Universal Pictures International (France).

With it being the middle of film award season, the larger drama films are out in full force. While this year we get the usual mix of drama’s on serious topics, few have the emotional weight of Room. To be frank, this movie is pretty damn heavy and not a film I’d normally watch. In fact, the whole reason I saw it was because I was out with a friend at the time.

That being said, I don’t regret seeing Room, I’ve just not been able to stop thinking about it… Continue reading

Suicide Squad: Feels good to be bad

I think by now it’s clear that I love DC Comics, even though they make it very hard for me to keep going back to them. While the trailers around Batman V. Superman have been discussed and examined ahead of it’s upcoming March release, the trailer for the film I’m most looking forward to has hit the net.

So let’s grab Garth and Wayne, cram into a car, crank up the Queen and take a look at the Suicide Squad trailer…. Continue reading

A hiatus that lasted too long

Sooooooo…it’s been a long time since we last spoke, and that’s my fault. Over the past few months there has been a lot going on in my life. In short, 90% wasn’t good so I wasn’t into the idea of keeping up to date with with blog.

Now with things (hopefully) calming down it’s time to try and (fart out) craft some posts for the many geek topics to come like; more comic book news, Movies, WrestleMania stuff, Anime reviews and so on.

So here’s hoping that I’ll see you all a lot more in the upcoming weeks…

When you’re a kid, there’s a lot to be scared of. From bullies, to homework, to even that one girl/boy you like for reasons beyond your limited life experiences most kids are little balls of fear at some points in their lives. That being said, things can get worse when you add on top of that the works of R.L. Stine.

While most of the books I read (or pretended to read while thinking about ReBoot or whatever) were silly small mysteries (shout out to the Clue book series) it was Goosebumps that really caught my attention. With monsters and characters not to far off from who I was at the time, the stories were easy to get into, and easy to finish…well short of the one about mutant potatoes with teeth…it’s made eating baked potatoes difficult for me even to this day.

So when the creatures of Mr. Stine came to the big screen, it was natural that I was gonna check it out. Continue reading

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami.

Reviewing games isn’t something I do on this blog often, mostly due to the fact I don’t buy a lot of new games. Additionally there’s the issue of beating the game which in this case can take a while. So while this might not be a full review of Hideo Kojima’s final chapter and magna opus Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, this is a review from the near ending I’m currently at. Let’s hope in kids. Continue reading
