The other Wachowskis project
The upcoming Wachowskis Netflix series had some information dropped this past week. The show called SENSE8 will follow eight people who find themselves linked together after a traumatic death. The group can communicate and even see into their own memories. Over the course of the series they must figure out how to use their powers and find out why they’re being hunted. The series will star; Naveen Andrews (Lost), Daryl Hannah (Blade Runner), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Alfonso Herrera (The Lorax), Erendira Ibarra (various TeleNovelas) and Terrence Mann (The Dresden Files). The series will run 10 episodes sometime next year.
Highlander meets Invasion of the Body Snackers
BBC America has been producing a number of interesting TV series over the past few years. Their newest show, Intruders, looks like it could be another solid series. The show stars; John Simm (Life on Mars, Doctor Who), Mira Sorvino (Falling Skies) and James Frain (The White Queen). The show follows people who try to cheat death by jumping from body to body. The series will start on August 23.
More Gundam Stuff
As reported last week, there are a few Gundam series coming this year. This time another trailer for the upcoming Gundam Reconguista in G hit the web. The series also got a advanced screening date of August 23 ahead of the series full debut in September. Later in the week more information on yet another Gundam series came to light. This other series known as Gundam-san, based upon the four panel manga series Mobile Suit Gundam-san created by Hideki Ohwada, will be debuting in Japan on July 6. For more info check out the link.
An Attack on Titan film, that’s not as awesome as it sounds
Want a second season of Attack on Titan? Well keep waiting, but there is some news for the franchise. The show will be reworked into two compilation films. The first Attack on Titan: Guren no Yumiya will be released November 22. The second Jiyuu no Tsubasa will hit theatres sometime next year. Funimation hasn’t stated if their going to bother licensing these films.
Dub-step in a half shell
Remember the whole Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Yeah there’s a new trailer out. It features CGI turtles, Megan Fox acting, annoying dub-step and a T-1000 posing as Shredder. The turtles also make reference to the Chris Nolan Batman films, which brings up a whole series of questions. Keep your fingers crossed for the films August 8 release.
Project Red Light Green Light
Think you’ve got what it takes to direct a film? HBO, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are producing another season of Project Greenlight and are looking for people to sign up. Watch the video and click here for more information.

A few weeks back I talked about the upcoming WWII film Fury. Now the trailer is out and we get a better look at what the film is about. The movie takes place during the final months of the war and follows a tank crew as they continue to take ground in Germany. The film stars Brad Pitt (Inglorious Bastards), Shia LaBeouf (Transformers), Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being A Wallflower), Michael Pena (Gangster Squad) and Jon Bernthal (Walking Dead). Fury will be released on November 14.

Lupin the Live Action
In more trailer news, the trailer for the Live Action Lupin the 3rd film is live. The short trailer gives us a look at what the live action team will look like, the direction of the action, the basic plot as well as a peak at what the theme song will be like. I’m looking forward to review this one, but I’m gonna have to wait a while after it’s August 30th release.
More (Kind of) Netflix Original Programming
A subtitled trailer for the upcoming Neflix distributed anime series hit the web. Knights of Sidonia is a mecha anime series that looks like it’s follows a number of the tropes of other mecha titles, however the series looks less like Gundam and more like RWBY from Rooster Teeth Productions. All of the episodes will go up onto all regions of Netfilx on July 4th. To the best of my knowledge their own English dubbed version will also be available at that time. In a related story, Knights of Sidonia will have a second season. The show will return to Japanese TV in November.
Nathan Fillion will have a cameo in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy. Rosario Dawson (Trance) has been added to the Netflix Daredevil series. There will be a new spin-off manga coming with the upcoming Appleseed sequel; Alpha. The spin-off title will start next month. The AMC seres Turn has been renewed for a second season. Sylvester Stallone is thinking about making another Rambo film. Star Wars 7 production might have to be reworked after Harrison Ford’s injury. Sadly (or happily depending on what you think) they won’t be adding Tom Cruise to pad out the film. The CW Network just released info on their fall line up. The important points are; The Flash debut’s on October 7 at 8pm then Supernatural has their season premiere after and Arrow returns the next day at 8 pm. Pacific Rim 2 is a go with Guillermo del Toro directing, the film is currently slated for a April 2017. Also coming are comics and an animated series based upon the monster fighting franchise.
